Job summary

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital in Los Angeles is hiring a Clinical Staff Nurse for the 4th Floor Med-Surg/Telemetry.

The role requires delivering high-quality, patient- and family-centered care over 12-hour shifts, following the Watson Model of Care and hospital policies. Responsibilities include nursing assessments, care planning, documentation, and interprofessional collaboration to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience.
• Bilingual skills preferred (Spanish).
• Current California Nursing license.
• Basic EKG Competence.
• ACLS/BLS certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 12-hour shift Med-Surg/Telemetry nursing care.
• Utilize nursing process to assess, plan, and implement care.
• Communicate patient status using SBAR during hand-offs.
• Collaborate with care team and discharge planning.
