Job summary

FlexStaff seeks a qualified Registered Nurse to implement age-specific care using the nursing process. You will assess patients, develop and execute plans, coordinate with physicians and health team members, and provide education to patients and families.

Strong clinical judgment and leadership in coordinating care are essential. You will collaborate with the care team across units, ensure safety, manage documentation, and participate in discharge planning and referrals.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and/or Connecticut; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the patient’s physiologic health status and plans care.
• Assesses psychosocial health status and needs.
• Identifies patient outcomes and sets individualized goals.
• Formulates and prioritizes the plan of care; coordinates resources and medications.
• Implements plan of care, monitors safety, and documents care provided.
• Reassesses and revises plan of care; administers medications safely.
• Educates patients and families; plans discharge and referrals.
• Collaborates with physicians and care team to optimize outcomes.
• Performs decubitus care and wound management within scope.
• Participates in treatment and procedures with clinical judgment.
• Maintains accurate documentation per policy.
