Job summary

FlexStaff in Danbury, CT is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide age-specific care using the nursing process. You will assess patients, plan and implement care, coordinate with physicians, and educate families as part of a collaborative health-care team.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate’s Degree in Nursing, with 1–2 years of nursing experience, current CT/NY license, and BLS certification. On-site role with comprehensive discharge planning and documentation responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Associate’s Degree in Nursing, required. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and/or Connecticut, required.
• BLS required, plus specialized certifications as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient’s physiologic health status and plan of care.
• Assess psychosocial health status and identify patient needs.
• Identify patient outcomes and establish individualized goals.
• Formulate and coordinate the plan of care to achieve outcomes.
• Implement care, monitor safety, and document actions and responses.
• Evaluate care effectiveness and adjust care plans as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and care team to coordinate treatments.
• Perform Decubitus care and skin assessment per protocol.
• Administer medications safely and educate patients on drug interactions.
• Engage in patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Perform related duties as required.
