Responsibilities

• Utilizes nursing process to assess patients and plan individualized care.
• Provides patient/family education and adapts teaching to age and needs.
• Maintains patient safety, follows physician orders, and responds to emergencies.
• Delegates tasks to CNAs and student nurses based on competence.
• Documents care and administers medications and IV therapy per policy.
