Day Kimball Health is seeking an Inpatient Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) for a part-time night shift in Putnam, CT. The role involves providing emergent, supportive, and restorative care using the nursing process, with a relationship-based model and a focus on teamwork and professional growth.

The RN will participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for psychiatric inpatients, while collaborating with physicians and ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Connecticut RN license required.
• CPR certification (AHA Healthcare Provider) required; if not certified, obtain within 3 months.
• Current NVCIT (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training) within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate all phases of nursing care.
• Assess health status of patients/families using Hx and exam.
• Initiate selected therapies, consults, diagnostics; adapt plan per protocols.
• Educate on health promotion, disease prevention, and management.
• Document findings and care plans in medical records.
• Consult with physician per hospital policy.
• Intervene to maintain safety and evaluate interventions.
