Job summary

HealthPartners is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care under the Nurse Practice Act and the organization’s policies. The role emphasizes using the nursing process, collaboration with patients and families, and adherence to evidence-based care standards.

The RN will document thoroughly, participate in quality initiatives, and contribute to program efficiency. Minnesota licensure, CPR, and ACLS are required, with mandatory credentialing timelines and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing program.
• Current Minnesota RN license (will be primary source verified by HR).
• CPR within 30 days of start date.
• ACLS required for all direct patient care RNs.
• Med/Surg and BirthCare— if not certified at time of hire, within 1–2 years of start date.

Responsibilities

• Applies the nursing process to assess data using patient, family/designated caregivers and interdisciplinary input.
• Develops and implements a plan of care with identified outcomes with patient involvement.
• Evaluates progress relative to the plan of care and adjusts as needed to meet outcomes and preferences.
• Completes timely, comprehensive patient documentation per service area standards.
• Applies Evidence Based Practice and Quality of Care Standards to nursing practice.
• Applies Safe Patient Care Initiatives to delivery of patient care.
• Demonstrates stewardship of organizational resources.
• Participates in committees/projects to improve efficiency and patient care.
• Maintains professional development through mandatory education and annual competencies.
• Demonstrates punctuality and consistent attendance.
• Delegates tasks and provides supervision for support staff.
• Maintains professionalism in all workplace interactions.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
