Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for Med/Surg units in a 36-hour schedule from 7a to 7p with every other weekend rotation. You will provide patient-centered care in a Magnet-recognized organization committed to equity and excellence, supporting staff development and growth across the nursing team.

The Med/Surg units at BMC South serve diverse inpatient populations with a multidisciplinary approach, emphasizing safe transitions, education, and high-quality care delivery.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing Diploma, ASN or BSN; BSN within 4 years is preferred.
• License: Current RN MA license, BLS required.
• Experience: Prior acute Med/Surg experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Department, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and their families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC's nursing organization.
• Assist the leadership team in quality improvement projects.
