Job summary

HCA Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton, FL, is seeking an experienced RN to join the Med/Surg/Telemetry/Progressive Care Float Pool. You’ll provide clinical expertise to ensure high-quality, efficient patient care across Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care units.

Responsibilities include assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, plus patient education on medications and treatments. Must hold a Florida RN license (compact allowed), with BLS/ACLS and NIHSS credentials current.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license is required per state regulations or compact licensure.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• ACLS and NIHSS certification are required with grace periods.
• BLS certification required.
• Prior acute care experience is strongly preferred.
• Excellent critical thinking and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care for Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
