Job summary

HCA Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton, FL, is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Emergency Care Float Pool. You will provide high-quality, compassionate care across Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care units, supporting a busy, team-oriented environment.

The ideal candidate holds an active Florida RN license, has a Diploma/ASN (BSN preferred), and current BLS; ACLS and NIHSS are required with grace periods.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license or compact license valid within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required (6-month grace period).
• NIHSS certification required (6-month grace period).
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care for Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care patients.
• Educate patients and families on medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patient records and test results.
• Administer medications per physician orders.
