Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 9A Medical-Surgical unit. This 24-bed unit provides care for medically complex patients with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio (occasionally 1:6).

A sign‑on bonus of $10,000 is offered for external applicants with a 3‑year commitment. Responsibilities include assessments, medication administration, IV care, wound care, and collaboration with the care team to ensure safe, quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in appropriate state.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Associated degree or higher as required by unit.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care per unit standards and plan of care.
• Complete admissions/discharges and document care.
• Communicate with team and care partners to ensure safety and quality.
