Job summary

Intermountain Health Riverton Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the Med/Surg unit. You will provide essential patient care and assist the team with routine tasks, ensuring compassionate and safe care across shifts.

The role requires CNA and BLS certs, strong communication, and computer literacy. The position offers shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends in a 36-hour week environment.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in the state of Utah.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• CNA certification must be obtained within 120 days of hire.
• Completion of a recent CNA Training Program required; verification within past year.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and deliver basic patient care, including toileting, bathing, linen and clothing changes, fresh water and ice, ambulating, comfort measures, and other patient needs.
• Reports and records patient care findings in a timely manner and notifies RN of changes in patient condition.
• May perform telemetry duties and monitor patients as required.
• Collaborate with the RN and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
• May assume Health Unit Coordinator duties (phones, orders, unit records, supplies).
