Allegheny Health Network seeks a patient care technician to assist with direct patient care and unit coordination. You will perform basic nursing tasks for stable patients under RN supervision, maintain asepsis, and document care in the EMR.

The role includes admissions/discharges coordination and contributing to quality initiatives. You will work under the supervision of RNs and the Care Team Leader, handling time management and ensuring a safe, clean patient environment in a inpatient unit

Qualificações

• High School/GED required.
• 1 year in an acute or long-term care facility or in nursing program.
• Basic computer skills.
• Proficient in phlebotomy and straight catheterization.
• Experience as a PCA/PCT/NA or related role preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct patient care and activities of daily living.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers; support unit coordination.
• Document vital signs, intake/output, and treatments; report changes to nursing staff.
• Participate in quality and patient-satisfaction initiatives and hourly rounding.
• Support unit activities, stocking supplies, and equipment cleaning.
