Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a Registered Nurse/Graduate Nurse for our Med/Surg Oncology unit. You will provide direct nursing care, administer chemotherapy if certified, and coordinate comprehensive patient plans in a compassionate, team-based setting.

The role offers a full-time schedule (36 hrs/week), a 12-hour day shift, and opportunities to develop oncology and palliative care skills while supporting patients and families through challenging care experiences.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN recommended.
• Current RN licensure in Maryland or Compact state.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Competency with electronic patient management systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to oncology, med/surg, and hospice patients.
• Administer medications, including chemotherapy (if certified), and monitor for side effects.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans.
• Offer emotional support and education to patients and families.
• Participate in discharge planning, pain management, and palliative care coordination.
• Document patient progress and communicate effectively with care team.
