Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a Registered Nurse/Graduate Nurse for the Med/Surg Oncology unit. You will provide direct nursing care to oncology, med/surg, and hospice patients, administer medications (including chemotherapy where certified), and collaborate with the care team to develop comprehensive care plans.

Must be authorized to work in the United States. BSN preferred; strong communication and EHR skills; competitive benefits and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred with optional agreement to obtain within a specified time.
• Current RN licensure in Maryland or compact state.
• BLS certification and strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with electronic patient management systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to oncology, med/surg, and hospice patients.
• Administer medications, including chemotherapy (if certified), and monitor side effects.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans.
• Offer education to patients and families and participate in discharge planning.
