Job summary

Arizona College of Nursing is seeking an experienced Nursing Adjunct Faculty member to teach didactic and clinical content, guide student progression, and participate in program evaluation. The candidate will develop and deliver courses, supervise clinical rotations, and collaborate with Course Lead Faculty to support student success and program quality.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree required; if not in nursing, a nursing-related graduate degree is required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of professional RN experience providing direct patient care.
• Previous teaching experience in a registered nursing program is preferred.
• Current unencumbered RN license or enhanced compact licensure for the teaching location.
• Certified Nurse Educator certification and national certification in nursing specialty are preferred.
• Maintains professional competence through continuing education, practice, and scholarship.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, teaches, and evaluates the nursing education program’s philosophy and objectives.
• Designs, implements, teaches, evaluates, and revises the curriculum.
• Leads simulation experiences in the Nursing Lab.
• Teaches and evaluates students in the classroom and clinical settings.
• Supports student progression and develops success plans with Course Lead Faculty.
• Communicates with faculty, clinical sites, and students regarding progress and issues.
