Job summary

Allegheny Health Network's Canonsburg Hospital seeks an experienced nursing leader to manage daily operations of the 2 West Medical Surgical/Telemetry Unit. You will provide clinical and administrative leadership under the Nurse Manager, guiding staff and coordinating patient care.

You will drive quality, safety, and patient experience initiatives, while supporting professional development, governance, and regulatory readiness. A strong nursing background and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required within 3 years of hire or transfer.
• 1 year of demonstrated clinical leadership experience.
• Current State of PA RN licensure OR current multi-state licensure via eNLC.
• Preferred: Master’s Degree in Nursing and national certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative leadership for the unit under the Nurse Manager.
• Contribute to strategic planning and attainment of department goals.
• Lead monthly unit conferences and conduct annual performance appraisals.
• Support shared governance and promote professional development.
• Foster quality, patient safety, and regulatory readiness initiatives.
• Collaborate with finance to manage budget and staffing within guidelines.
• Sponsor staff coaching, orientation, credentialing, and continued education.
• Engage in patient experience improvement and interdepartmental collaboration.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

1 year of demonstrated clinical leadership experience

Current PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure via eNLC

Master’s Degree in Nursing
