Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator at St. David's South Austin Medical Center to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate unit operations during the shift.

You will lead nursing care in line with policies, serve as a resource for staff, and support the hospital’s mission and patient experience goals. Qualifications

• RN licensed in Texas or eligible to obtain licensure.
• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• BLS/CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit, with management team.
• Collaborates with managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Implements nursing strategies like employee rounding and hourly rounds to improve engagement.
• Provides recommendations on interviewing, selecting, and training staff, and handles performance issues.
• Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor in line with patient care needs.
• Supports inventory control and helps manage supplies and equipment.
