Job summary

Advocate Health's WI Resource Team seeks a Float Registered Nurse for Medical-Surgical care across Wisconsin hospitals. You will deliver adaptable nursing care, influence care outcomes, and participate in quality initiatives across units.

The ideal candidate holds an approved nursing program credential, active RN license, BLS and ACLS, with 2+ years Med-Surg experience and availability for weekend and holiday shifts. BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing education program.
• BLS certification and ACLS required.
• Active RN license for the practice state.
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical RN experience.
• Weekend and holiday coverage requirements.

Responsibilities

• Engage in governance, quality initiatives, and evidence-based care.
• Apply nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitor patients, adjust plans, and coordinate with care teams.
• Uphold a culture of safety and ensure accurate EHR documentation.
• May float to other units as needed within the service area.
• Administer meds and therapies per protocols and delegate appropriately.
• Pursue professional development and maintain required certifications.
• Adhere to ANA Code of Ethics and ethical decision-making.
