Job summary

Great River Health in Mount Pleasant, Iowa is seeking a Patient Care Technician (CNA) for a part-time 30-hour workweek in the Medical Surgical Unit. You will provide basic patient care under a licensed nurse, assist with ADLs, document in the medical record, and participate in safe patient handling and infection control.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and CNA certification (or completion within four months of hire). Computer experience and healthcare exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of CNA course or in progress within four months of hire.
• Computer experience required; healthcare experience preferred within last five years.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under licensed nurse supervision.
• Assist with ADLs and daily room care; monitor patient conditions.
• Record intake/output and vital signs; report changes promptly.
• Transport patients and assist with transfers, turning, and movement.
• Maintain infection-control practices and safety devices.
• Document activities accurately in medical records.
