Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross before hire.
• One year of recent, full-time patient care experience.
• Nursing students may substitute clinical rotation for experience.
• Military medical experience will be considered.
• Demonstrates math and reading comprehension at an 8th grade level.

Responsibilities

• Provide or assist with patient care under RN supervision.
• Take vital signs and assist with personal care.
• Report abnormal findings to an RN.
• Keep patients' rooms clean and orderly.
• Assist with transfers, monitoring devices, phlebotomy, ECGs, and catheter care.
