Job summary

Mission Hospital CNC Med-Surg seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate unit functions during the shift, collaborating with the management team to direct nursing care and model the hospital's values.

The role focuses on admissions/discharges, staff development, scheduling, inventory control, and performance evaluations to drive excellent patient outcomes and staff engagement. RN license in NC and ADN required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of RN experience.
• Hospital nursing experience preferred.
• ADN required.
• BSN preferred.
• Active RN license with NC Board of Nursing (eNLC may apply).
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit in collaboration with management.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and managers to create an environment of teamwork for improved outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Supports efforts to improve engagement by operationalizing nursing strategies (staff rounding, hourly rounds, etc.).
• Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, training staff; action plans including development, conflict resolution, and policy compliance.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management per patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Supports inventory control and equipment/supplies management.
