• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit, in collaboration with the management team.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and managers to foster teamwork and improve outcomes and service.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Operationalizes nursing strategies to improve engagement, including rounding and hourly rounds.
• Recommends and implements actions for interviewing, selecting, and training staff, and handles performance actions as needed.
• Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor in line with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Supports inventory control and helps manage supplies and equipment.
