Ascension Saint Thomas Highlands in Sparta, TN, is hiring for a Day shift, full-time Med Surg Nurse Leader. This role directs shift operations, manages resources, and leads a team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care on the Med Surg unit.

You will oversee staffing, coordinate care, mentor staff, and resolve escalated patient or family concerns while partnering with physicians and leadership to optimize outcomes.

Formación

• Must hold RN license in Tennessee and BLS certification.
• At least 1 year of cumulative job-specific experience.
• Experience leading shifts in Med Surg preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Direct shift operations and allocate unit resources with independent clinical judgment.
• Create nurse-patient assignments based on acuity and productivity metrics.
• Supervise, educate, and mentor nursing staff and support personnel during shifts.
• Serve as escalation lead for patient or family concerns, ensuring quality and satisfaction.
• Lead daily shift planning and team huddles to streamline workflows and care delivery.
