Job Overview

The Medication Care Manager is responsible for providing the highest quality care by administering medication and treatments safely. Responsibilities include medication administration, documentation, and resident care, in accordance with laws, regulations, and Sunrise policies to ensure top-quality services.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
Essential Duties

Supporting our Mission, Principles of Service, and Core Values is fundamental. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Medication Administration: Administer medications, review health records, receive updates from supervisors, ensure proper documentation, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Resident Care Communications: Notify concerns, participate in meetings, and develop care plans.
  • Risk Management and Safety: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, report incidents, and practice infection control.
  • Training and Team Contribution: Participate in team activities, meetings, and training, and contribute to engagement initiatives.
  • Core Competencies: Make decisions in residents’ best interest, remain calm, handle priorities, communicate effectively, and demonstrate good judgment.
  • Experience & Qualifications: High School diploma/GED, necessary certifications, at least 18 years old, prior senior care experience preferred, and valid driver’s license if applicable.
