Job summary

The Villages of Midtown Oaks in Altoona, PA, seeks a compassionate Medication Aide to administer medications as ordered by physicians under licensed supervision. You will follow nursing standards and community policies to provide safe, respectful care to residents.

This full-time role offers flexible pay options (on-demand or weekly), comprehensive benefits, and growth opportunities. A current QMA registration and a high school diploma are required, along with basic computer skills and EHR

Qualifications

• Be listed in good standing on the registry as a medication aide.
• Complete QMA competency evaluation program if required by your state.
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate EHR software.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents as ordered by the Attending Physician.
• Follow established nursing standards and community policies.
• Work under the direction of a licensed nurse within scope of practice.
• Provide safe, compassionate care to residents and document care in the system.

Position Summary

The primary purpose of your job is to administer medications to residents as ordered by the attending Physician, under the direction of a licensed nurse within the scope of practice for Medication Aides. The administration of medication shall be in accordance with established nursing standards, the community policies, procedures, and practices, and the requirements of the state in which you operate.

Education/Qualifications

• Be listed in good standing on the registry as a medication aide in the state in which you work.
• Passed the QMA competency evaluation program consisting of a written test, if your state requires.
• Must be currently enrolled in a high school program or have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including electronic health record software.

Shift and Wage

• Full-Time Opportunity Available
• Shifts Needed: 1st Shift, 6:00a - 2:30p
  • Includes Every Other Weekend
• Wage: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
