Job summary

Monroe Health & Rehab Center is seeking a compassionate Medication Aide to administer medications to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse, following established nursing standards and facility policies.

We offer flexible pay options, PTO and benefits, a strong leadership team, and opportunities for education and career growth, including loan forgiveness and tuition programs. Shifts include 7:00a–3:00p and 3:00p–11:00p, with both full-time and part-time positions available.

Qualifications

• Be listed in good standing on the registry as a medication aide.
• Completed QMA competency evaluation (if required by state).
• High school diploma or equivalent or currently enrolled.
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate EHR software.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician.
• Work under the direction of a licensed nurse within scope of practice.

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of your job is to administer medications to residents as ordered by the attending Physician, under the direction of a licensed nurse within the scope of practice for Medication Aides. The administration of medication shall be in accordance with established nursing standards, the community policies, procedures, and practices, and the requirements of the state in which you operate.

Education/Qualifications:

• Be listed in good standing on the registry as a medication aide in the state in which you work.

• Passed the QMA competency evaluation program consisting of a written test, if your state requires.

• Must be currently enrolled in a high school program or have a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including electronic health record software.
