Job summary

Festo Corporation is seeking a Mechatronics Application Engineer (MAE) to advance North American sales through expert technical support and application design. You will collaborate with customers, sales, and service teams to deliver innovative motion-control solutions and to ensure successful project execution.

You will apply your knowledge of PLC languages and automation equipment across servo drives, controllers and IO to optimize customer processes, with travel within North America and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; MBA a plus.
• 5–10+ years in project management, controls engineering, sales, and technical support in industrial automation.
• Experience with IEC61131-3 programming and multiple PLC tools listed above.
• Strong communication and customer-facing collaboration skills.
• English language required; Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to sales, partners and customers on applications and processes.
• Lead pre‑sales technical discussions and design reviews with multidisciplinary teams.
• Support post‑sales activities and ensure smooth project handover to customers.
• Size and design servo motor applications and contribute to machine concept discussions.
• Create technical content for marketing and training of internal teams.
