Application Engineer | Greater Boston | Motion Control Systems

Are you passionate about motion control, automation, and creating smart industrial solutions? We're seeking a skilled and driven Solutions Engineer to support the full lifecycle of advanced drive and control systems—from concept to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead pre-sales, technical solution design, and post-sales support for advanced motion control and automation systems.
• Configure and propose solutions using drives, servomotors, PLCs, HMIs, encoders, and fieldbus protocols (e.g., PROFINET, EtherCAT).
• Guide clients through system sizing, startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Deliver training and field support to both internal teams and external customers.
• Travel domestically (and occasionally internationally) for on-site project execution.

What We're Looking For:

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or related Engineering field preferred; or 5+ years of direct experience with motion control systems, including servomotors, AC and DC drives, controls, PLCs, HMIs, encoders, and fieldbus communication (e.g., PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT).
• Proven ability to take applications from concept through startup with strong troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills (pre-sales, sales, and post-sales activities)
• Capable of evaluating multiple technical options and implementing effective solutions
• Active listener with the ability to ask thoughtful questions and respond professionally.
• Strong applied knowledge of physics and mathematics for system sizing, load calculations, and selecting appropriate drive and control components.
