Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Orange, CT is seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to support the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems. You will install, maintain and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, and mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles.

The role requires hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and safe work practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years repairing material handling equipment.
• 2+ years performing predictive and preventative maintenance.
• Associates or higher in Mechanical or Electrical field preferred.
• Experience with automated conveyor systems and controls preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics preferred.
• Familiarity with electrical and electronic principles.

Responsibilities

• Support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems.
• Install, maintain and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to MHE such as belts, motors, relays and sensors.
• Promote a safe working environment by following procedures and documenting work.
• Mentor junior technicians to help them grow in their roles.
• Move up to 49 lbs and work up to 12 hour shifts as needed; some travel up to 20%.
