Job summary

Amazon Davenport, FL is seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment and mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 49 lbs, work shifts up to 12 hours, and follow all safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• 2+ years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience or apprenticeship program.
• 2+ years of preventative maintenance procedures experience.
• 2+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
• 2+ years of safety standards experience.
• 2+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all MHE (belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, etc).
• Maintain a positive working relationship across the Operations facility.
• Move up to 49lbs and stand/walk up to 12 hours; climb ladders and bend, lift, reach.
