Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems across the building. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment and mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles.

You will be part of a fast-paced team, working to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• 2+ years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience, or apprenticeship program.
• 2+ years of predictive and preventative maintenance procedures experience.
• 2+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
• 2+ years of demonstrating safety standards experience.
• 2+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment (MHE).

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to MHE, including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, etc.
• Maintain positive working relationships across all Amazon Operations facilities.
• Move up to 49lbs, stand/walk up to 12 hours, climb ladders and gangways safely, and perform bending, lifting, and reaching.
