Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician in Chandler, AZ to support the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment and mentor junior technicians.

You will participate in safety-focused upkeep, document preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot a range of MHE components, with ability to lift up to 49 lbs and perform demanding shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends/nights/holidays.
• Certification from Amazon's Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship Program, or 2+ years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience.
• 2+ years of conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
• 2+ years reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
• 2+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment (MHE).

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following safety procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to MHE.
• Maintain a positive working relationship across the Amazon Operations facility.
• Move up to 49lbs, stand and walk during shifts up to 12 hours, climb ladders and gangways safely, and perform bending, lifting, and reaching.
