Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems across the building. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment and mentor junior technicians.

The role emphasizes safety, preventative maintenance, and hands-on diagnostics; shifts may vary, and the starting pay aligns with market rates for this skilled technician position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience
• Flexible schedule including weekends/nights/holidays
• 2+ years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience or Amazon apprenticeship
• 2+ years of predictive and preventative maintenance
• 2+ years reading blueprints and electrical schematics
• 2+ years safety standards experience
• 2+ years troubleshooting material handling equipment (MHE)

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays
• Maintain positive working relationships across all Amazon Operations facility
• Move up to 49lbs, stand and walk up to 12 hours, climb ladders and gangways safely, bend, lift and reach as needed
