Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems across the building. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment while mentoring junior technicians to grow in their roles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of Microsoft Office experience
• Flexible schedule including weekends/nights/holidays
• Certification from Mechatronics & Robotics Apprenticeship Program or 2 years of automated conveyor systems experience
• 2 years of predictive and preventive maintenance experience
• 2 years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics
• 2 years of safety standards experience
• 2 years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of Material Handling Equipment

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to MHE including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays
• Maintain a positive working relationship across the Amazon Operations facility
• Move up to 49lbs, stand and walk during shifts up to 12 hours, climb ladders and gangways safely, and perform bending, lifting, stretching as needed
