Job summary

Amazon MRA apprentices are engaged in assembling and maintaining complex machines, plants, and systems in high automation facilities. You will learn to analyze, troubleshoot, and repair while following safety regulations, mentored by journeyworkers to grow in your role.

The program emphasizes teamwork and development across electronics, mechanical, and control systems, with hands-on experience and on-site coaching in multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of PC software experience including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• High School Diploma
• Associate of Science, or 4+ years of military experience
• Knowledge of mathematics
• Experience reading measurements and interpretation
• Work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing operational items
• Experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
• Experience troubleshooting material handling equipment (MHE)
• Experience implementing safety standards
• Experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative/predictive maintenance of conveyance equipment using the appropriate job plans, procedures, and manuals.
• Maintain and repair distribution center racking.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
• Track and store department inventory, including spare parts.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Conduct maintenance and basic troubleshooting of robotics and robotic work cells.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all material handling equipment components.
• Maintain and troubleshoot motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor starters, tachs, etc.
• Assist in mentoring junior technicians by providing guidance and directions to help them develop their skill set.
• Assist with basic electronics/Programmable Logic Controllers troubleshooting.
