Job summary

CoStar Group in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to contribute to automation, test fixtures, and hardware development. This eight-week in-person internship offers hands-on experience across mechanical, software, and electrical domains.

You will own a hardware project end-to-end, design and assemble electromechanical systems, and present findings to mentors and teammates at the end of the program.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field and plan to return to school after Summer 2027 internship.
• GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Full 10-week summer internship commitment (40 hours/week).
• Basic knowledge of mechatronics: sensors, actuators, motor control, electronics.

Responsibilities

• Own a hardware project end-to-end from concept through build and validation.
• Design and assemble electromechanical hardware across sub-systems.
• Extract performance data from hardware and analyze results.
