Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Planning to return to school after Summer 2027 internship.
• Expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA and availability for the full 10-week, 40-hour per week program.
• Working knowledge of mechatronics: sensors, actuators, motor control, basic electronics.
• Proficiency with a CAD package (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar).
• Hands-on aptitude: prototyping, wiring, assembling, troubleshooting hardware.
• Ability to extract and analyze data with Python, MATLAB, or Excel.

Responsibilities

• Own one hardware project end to end, from concept through build and validation, and present it at the close of the internship.
• Design and assemble electromechanical hardware, working across all hardware sub-systems.
• Extract performance data from hardware systems and process it into useful, actionable results.
• Apply both mechanical and software/electrical engineering skills to solve real manufacturing or design problems.
• Work cross-functionally with experienced engineers and mentors, learning our processes, procedures, and product lines along the way.
