Job summary

CoStar Group is seeking an Associate Mechanical Engineer for Sunnyvale, CA, to contribute on hardware projects within the Manufacturing Engineering Operations team. You will own projects end-to-end, including concept, build, testing, and validation, interfacing with mentors across mech, software, and electrical disciplines.

The role emphasizes hands-on prototyping, data-driven analysis, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable major.
Expected graduation date December 2026 - June 2027.
Minimum 3.0 GPA.
At least 2 months of prior relevant internship or co-op experience.

Responsibilities

Own one hardware project end to end, from concept through build and validation, and present it at internship end.
Design and assemble electromechanical hardware across subsystems.
Extract performance data and process into actionable results.
Apply mechanical and software/electrical engineering skills to solve problems.
Collaborate cross-functionally with mentors and engineers.
