Job summary

The FANUC America Corporation Associate Field Service Engineer will be responsible for on-site repair, troubleshooting and maintenance for CNCs and related peripherals across Illinois and nearby states. Travel 80%–90% to customer sites, with 2–8 overnight stays per month in accordance with company guidelines.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED (associate/bachelor preferred in Electronics/Mechatronics) and strong diagnostic, problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of technical customer support or field service experience preferred.
• Familiarity with electrical components such as relays, circuit breakers, sensors, motors.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for CNC systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site maintenance and troubleshooting for CNC machines and peripherals.
• Collaborate with Supervisor/Manager to diagnose and select repair actions.
• Travel to customer sites 80%–90%, up to 2–8 overnight stays monthly.
• Manage and safeguard tools and inventory; complete required documentation.
• Participate in training programs and adhere to company policies.
