Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior leader to head a Mechatronics/Body Systems engineering team in Missouri. You will define architecture, manage interfaces, and own verification, validation, and launch readiness across combined hardware and software domains.

The role requires extensive systems engineering experience, safety-focused governance, and the ability to drive regulatory compliance and cross-functional collaboration with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in systems engineering, architecture, verification, validation, and launch readiness.
• Experience translating regulations into engineering requirements and compliance evidence.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive technical governance.
• Knowledge of functional safety, DFMEA, safety cases, and diagnostic strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary Mechatronics/Body Systems team across requirements, architecture, integration, and validation.
• Define system boundaries, interfaces, and hardware/software allocation.
• Govern traceability from vehicle to component levels with rigorous reviews.
• Provide technical leadership for system integration, verification, and API support.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and safety readiness for program milestones.
• Mentor engineers and drive continuous improvement.
