Job summary

Hennepin Technical College seeks an Automated Systems and Mechatronics Technology Instructor to deliver lab-based instruction and design curriculum in the Brooklyn Park and Eden Prairie campuses.

Responsibilities include continuous curriculum development, assessment of learner outcomes, and support for student success through varied instructional methods, evening/weekend offerings, and cross-campus collaboration.

Qualifications

• Degree required: Associate degree in automated systems and mechatronics, electrical/mechanic systems or fluid power.
• Experience in teaching or curriculum development is not explicitly required but preferred.
• Proven ability to design and revise instructional materials and assess learner outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Teach and lab-instruct Automated Systems and Mechatronics topics.
• Develop and revise curriculum and instructional materials; assess learner outcomes.
• Integrate assessment activities into teaching and college-wide student learning assessment.
• Support student success through diverse instructional methods and office hours.
• Coordinate schedules and campus coverage to maximize enrollment across locations.
• Participate in department and college committees and professional development.
