Job summary

Lanier Technical College is hiring an Automation Technology/Mechatronics Instructor for Hall/Barrow Campuses. The role requires developing courses, preparing lesson plans, and evaluating student progress while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The instructor collaborates with advisory committees to align equipment with advanced manufacturing and AI in the food production sector. The position is full-time, salaried, FLSA-exempt, and benefits-eligible, with campuses in Hall and Barrow

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a related engineering/tech field is required.
• Three years of work experience in industrial technology, mechatronics, or related field.
• Credentialing to satisfy accrediting bodies for courses assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develop program and course outlines, goals, and objectives.
• Prepare lesson plans for classroom instruction for credited technology courses.
• Develop syllabi to meet program and school objectives.
• Evaluate student progress toward goals and objectives.
• Maintain required documentation and administrative reports.
• Attend staff development trainings and ensure safety in the training area.
• Coordinate with advisory committees to identify equipment for advanced manufacturing and AI relevant to food production.
