Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a hands-on Mechanical Test Technician to run tensile, compression, and other tests using standardized methods. You will prepare specimens, machine and label parts, and ensure traceable data, while keeping the lab well-maintained and safe for daily operations.

You will support engineers by absorbing routine test execution, driving throughput, and ensuring accurate, analysis-ready results for integration into programs across defense systems.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent hands-on experience in materials/mechanical/manufacturing test environment.
• 3+ years operating mechanical test equipment (servo-hydraulic or electromechanical load frames).
• Experience with specimen preparation, machining, precision measurement, and fixturing.
• Knowledge of ASTM/ISO test methods and ability to follow them exactly.
• Strong data-capture habits with traceability and lab-safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Run mechanical testing (tensile, compression) to established standards (ASTM/ISO).
• Prepare, machine, label, and track test specimens with traceability.
• Capture and process data for engineering analysis.
• Maintain lab equipment, perform calibrations, and manage consumables.
• Handle routine testing to allow engineers to focus on design and analysis.
• Uphold lab safety, orderliness, and proper PPE usage.
