Job summary

Element Materials Technology's Daleville laboratory is seeking a Mechanical Test Engineer to join the operations team. The role will perform routine and non-routine testing and ensure timely, accurate results with minimal supervision.

Applicants must have a B.S. in a science or testing field and at least 2 years of post-degree engineering experience, with hands-on tensile, hardness, impact, and metallurgical testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science or testing related field is required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ post-degree engineering experience or advanced academic qualifications.
• Ability to apply academic knowledge within Element’s testing environment.
• Working knowledge of tensile, hardness, impact, heat treatment and related testing concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine mechanical testing with timeliness and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with safety and ISO-related requirements.
• Analyze and compile testing data from performed tests; communicate results to team.
• Lead or assist in maintaining testing protocols and improving efficiency.
