Horizon Surgical Systems Inc. seeks a Mechanical Technician / Manufacturing Technician to support the assembly, inspection, testing, and maintenance of robotic systems and production hardware. This hands-on role emphasizes meticulous workmanship in a fast-paced medical device startup.

You will follow drawings and instructions, work with hand and power tools, and collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations to ensure robust manufacturing processes and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and basic shop equipment.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, drawings, diagrams, and checklists.
• Attention to detail and good communication.
• Teamwork and organized documentation.
• Fit for fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly of robotic systems, subassemblies, fixtures, tools, and production hardware.
• Follow manufacturing process instructions, work instructions, drawings, and assembly documentation.
• Use hand tools and power tools to complete builds and reworks.
• Perform basic mechanical inspection using calipers, pin gauges, torque tools, and other equipment.
• Support cable routing, hardware installation, and system integration.
