Job summary

Horizon Surgical Systems Inc. seeks a Mechanical Technician to support the assembly, inspection, testing, and maintenance of robotic systems and production hardware in a fast-paced medical device startup.

The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical aptitude, experience with hand tools, basic measurement tools, and the ability to follow detailed work instructions; some electrical assembly experience is a plus. Base salary is $70,000–$80,000 with stock options and health benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude and ability to read and follow work instructions.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and basic shop equipment.
• Comfortable in fast-paced startup environment and maintaining documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly of robotic systems, subassemblies, fixtures, tools, and production hardware.
• Follow manufacturing process instructions, drawings, and assembly documentation.
• Use hand and power tools to complete builds and rework as needed.
• Perform basic mechanical inspection using calipers, pin gauges, torque tools, and other measurement equipment.
• Support fit checks, hardware installation, cable routing, fastener installation, and system integration.
