Insight Global is seeking a highly hands-on Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support critical system builds and day-to-day manufacturing line execution for an advanced surgical robotics platform on-site in San Jose, CA.

You will provide floor support during engineering, development, verification, validation, and production builds, troubleshoot issues, ensure material availability, and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on mechanical and electromechanical troubleshooting on the manufacturing floor.
• Clear communication with technicians, engineers, Quality, Production, Planning, and Materials teams.
• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, BOMs, work instructions, schematics, and SOPs.
• Associate degree in Mechanical Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Mechatronics, Electronics, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide hands-on floor support during engineering, development, verification, validation, and production builds to keep work moving safely and efficiently.
• Respond quickly to line interruptions and build blockers; assess the issue, coordinate immediate containment, and engage the appropriate owner.
• Support nonconformance activities, including containment, segregation, documentation, disposition coordination, and follow-through on actions.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electromechanical, tooling, fixture, and process issues using approved procedures and drawings.
• Support rework instructions, deviations, or temporary build instructions with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality.
• Coordinate day-to-day build readiness and schedule execution with Production and Planning; identify risks and elevate blockers.
• Confirm material availability before builds; assist with material triage and escalate shortages or kitting issues.
• Support line moves, workstation adjustments, and equipment placement to execute planned builds.
• Ensure required tools, fixtures, equipment, and calibrated instruments are available and ready; escalate downtime needs.
• Reinforce approved process revisions and support technician training when changes occur.
• Maintain accurate build records and issue logs; participate in daily stand-ups and build-readiness reviews.
• Identify recurring floor issues and provide data for root-cause investigation and corrective action.
