Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC in Norfolk, VA, is seeking a Mechanical Technician II to assemble, fabricate, and QA components for water treatment systems. You will work with stainless steel, fiberglass, CPVC, and PVC, operating ironworkers, band saws, drill presses, and forklifts.

You will mentor junior staff, enforce safety, conduct confined space entries, and maintain fabrication records. A high school diploma and 3–4 years of fabrication experience are required; preferred are piping/layout skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–4 years of mechanical fabrication experience preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints/schematics and BOMs.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble metal and PVC piping spools per drawings and specs.
• Fabricate components using surgical accuracy and quality checks.
• Mentor/coach Mechanical Technician I staff on techniques and safety.
• Conduct self-inspections and maintain QA documentation.
• Comply with EHS rules and maintain 5S workplace organization.
