Job summary

Veolia in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Mechanical Technician II to join our water treatment equipment team. You will assemble, fabricate, and QA components used in specialized systems, reading complex engineering drawings and following strict safety and quality guidelines.

The role requires 3-4 years of fabrication experience, the ability to work with stainless steel, fiberglass, CPVC, and PVC, and the initiative to mentor others. We offer comprehensive training, competitive pay, and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3-4 years of experience as Mechanical Technician or equivalent.
• Experience fabricating equipment using blueprints/schematics and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Follow EHS rules and produce quality work.
• Train and mentor junior staff on techniques and safety.
• Construct piping spools with metal and PVC per drawings.
• Inspect components for alignment with drawings and QA docs.
• Maintain 5S housekeeping and prepare production records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
