Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Mechanical Technician II to assemble, fabricate, and QA components for water treatment systems in a fabrication shop environment.

You will read engineering drawings, fit metal and PVC piping, operate equipment like ironworkers, band saws, drill presses, and forklifts, and mentor junior staff while upholding safety and 5S standards.

Strong mechanical aptitude and teamwork are essential, with a focus on quality, EHS compliance, and documenting QA records for traceability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–4 years experience as Mechanical Technician I or equivalent.
• Experience fabricating equipment using blueprints/schematics and bills of material.
• Preferred: ability to assemble piping and equipment to drawings.

Responsibilities

• Follow EHS rules and produce quality work.
• Train and mentor Mechanical Tech I staff.
• Construct piping spools with minimal supervision following EHS/quality protocols.
• Demonstrate problem-solving and identify issues.
• Maintain 5S in the workspace.
• Inspect installed components against drawings and QA documents.
